About the Calgary Chinook Fund

The Calgary Chinook Fund was established by a group of donors to support the funding of gay and lesbian causes in Calgary. Its primary means of supporting the community is through the Chinook Lesbian and Gay Endowment fund.

The purpose of the organization is to support and build the LGBT Community in Calgary. Support is provided through grants from income earned on the endowment funds. Community building is achieved by hosting events that bring together members of the LGBT Community for philanthropic endeavours

The Advisory Committee

The Calgary Chinook Fund members act as the advisory committee and fundraising body. It’s members are from Calgary’s LGBT Community. All committee members are donors to the fund. The advisory committee decides on the annual allocation of fund recipients.
